Diletti Chardonnay 2008
assessment
Colour:
Straw coloured with green hues.
Bouquet: The nose is
complex and appealing. There are fruit characters in both the stone fruit
and citrus spectrums. There are also grilled nuts and mealy characters, all
backed by quality French oak.
Palate: The wine shows
some generosity on the front palate, dominated by the citrus fruit
characters. The mealy texture and oak influences provide good weight and
complexity through the mid palate. A crisp acid structure gives a powerful,
long and clean finish, which persists in the mouth.
food accompaniment
Enjoy with a wide range of medium meat dishes.
cellaring potential
Will continue to improve and develop complexity with
age; cellar for 8 to 10 years
